Doloc Town Farming Automation Guide (1.0)

The 1.0 release turns you from a farmer into a farm manager. Here is how to generate clean energy, deploy drone stations and automate the whole crop cycle.

How Farming Automation Works

Automation has three layers: energy, stations and drones. Each layer feeds the next, so build in this order.

  1. Harness solar and wind power

Build solar panels and wind turbines to generate clean energy. Solar shines in clear weather; wind keeps producing through storms — a mix is the safest early setup.

  2. Build farming drone stations

Stations are the control points that let drones run farm operations. They consume energy, so size them to your power output.

  3. Assign automated tasks

Drones handle seeding, nurturing plants and gathering yields end-to-end. Start with one repetitive chore (watering) and expand.

  4. Free up your time

While drones work, explore, talk to townsfolk or push the story — this is the point of the whole system.

ENERGY

Solar vs Wind: What to Build First

Your weather pattern decides the optimal first build.

  • Clear-weather seasons favour solar panels — cheap and predictable.

  • Storm-heavy months favour wind turbines — they never idle.

  • A mixed array keeps energy stable through the year and powers a bigger station network.

  • ⚠️ Exact build costs and energy values are being verified in 1.0.

INDUSTRIAL

The Industrial Zone & Conveyor Belts

Automation is not only for crops.

  1. Start the generator in the industrial area

This powers the new conveyor-belt production line added in 1.0.

  2. Build conveyor belts

Move materials automatically between stations and storage.

  3. Unlock previously unreachable areas

The industrial line grants access to new parts of the map and new resources.

COMMON MISTAKES

Common Automation Mistakes

Do not rush stations before you have stable power — a station that idles half the day wastes the whole point. Do not automate your only income crop first; automate a low-value filler crop to learn the system risk-free. And leave clear lanes for drones when you build platforms, or they cannot reach their plots.

Why This Page Matters

English guides for Doloc Town automation are practically non-existent — most coverage stops at Early Access basics. This is one of the first 1.0-specific automation references in English. Details marked ⚠️ will be updated after hands-on verification.
