Use the catch tables to choose a pond, weather window and rod for the fish you want.
Map the ponds: each body of water has its own fish pool — check the tables above before choosing a spot
Upgrade your rod: higher-tier rods unlock better fish and make the fishing minigame more forgiving
Fish through weather: rain and thunderstorms bring uncommon catches that dry days don't
